About Me
I’m Anita, an artist using fabric as my canvas

From my backyard studio located in the beautiful Whangarei Heads, NZ I create wearable arts, unique to each individual with something for everyone from new born to new age. I’m in my element when I create these pieces and I love the joy they bring to me and my customers.
I use a variety of techniques, ever evolving, to improve the design and look of my items. My canvas is plain white cotton garments. I allow my visions and creative mind to then blend vibrant colour combinations onto each piece of work, using high quality dyes that are sure to last. Why don’t I call my work tie-dye? Because it is so much more than that.
Each individual garment is dyed by hand using assorted techniques. Fabric is manipulated with twisting, turning, folding, and squeezing, while hand mixed dye is dispersed throughout by submerging, painting and squeezing the pigments, all at spontaneous occurrences. This means every item is totally unique and one of a kind. A lot of love goes into my work, with an individual item taking 4 days to create from start to finish. I love how playing with my colours makes my heart sing.
